LARGE NEW BUILD HOME & GARDEN
We undertook this large new build project that included all the building and landscaping work including tree planting. This impressive stone house took advantage of the fabulous natural setting and maximised the views and connection with the landscape. The materials were high quality and complimented the context of the place. The bifold doors fully open and connect well with the backgarden. It was the intention from the start to create a striking patio area that invited the customer out.
White rendered dining room extension with 3.5m bifold doors and a giant 2.75 x 2.75m roof lantern. This additional space created a wow factor kitchen dining room that screened certain poor views and maximised the great views - connecting inside with the outside and breathing nature into the home
CONTEMPORARY TWIN BRICK COTTAGES
Another high spec new build construction that included all the building work and landscaping. Fabulous brick detailing adds to these impressive houses and the inclusion of an internal garage makes them very desirable places to live. Superb attention to detail on the landscaping adds to the finished quality
The client wanted to transform their busy little garden into an urban oasis complete with white rendered boundary wall, slate stack water cascade, top of the range artificial grass and sleek black limestone paving. The finished result is a very tranquil and contemporary space. A cedar garden room was included for all weather use and it adds a sculptural element to the new garden
This couple required the garden to respond to their home in terms of functionality and visual appeal. After excavating 50 tonnes of soil we transformed this disused garden into a modern entertaining space. Sleek paving and tiled walls can be viewed from inside the home and easy access to the circular seating area means alfresco dining will be a regular event. Water features and lighting animate the garden a bring it to life
Garden Design project for a leading Sheffield Landscape company- We were asked to design something really special for the family to enjoy.
Creating two tier gardens always allows for exciting results and the choice of materials really makes this a fantastic garden space. Cedar fencing, water cascades and a covered seating area included.
DOUBLE EXTENSION WITH BIFOLDS
Another home extension and garden project with the customer improving the properties space vastly with a first phase two storey extension followed by an amazing kitchen diner at the rear complete with modern interior. Outside the garden was redesigned to allow for easy connection.
MODERN LIVING FAMILY EXTENSION
This home extension was designed and constructed by our team. This young family had bought this house with the intention of enlarging the back of the home.
We created an expansive living space with bifold doors opening onto a decked area. The oak flooring flowed seemlessly between inside and outside. Huge skylights let light in and the large tree in the garden coukld be viewed from all angles. The decor and installation of a superb kitchen completed the successful project
CIRCULAR GARDEN DESIGN
This project maximised the space available in the garden. A split level allowed for different routes and with one area you were able to sit in a tranquil spot beside a water cascade and pond. At the top level you had another seating area with bold planting and rocks surrounding an arbour. The circular lawn was edged with block paving for good access all year
THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT
This customer was renovating a large 1970,s house and wanted the garden to respond to the house. We created an expansive patio in front of the patio doors so that the home could access the garden easily and they could enjoy meals outside. A striking curved raised brick planting bed bridged the gap between house and garden. Another patio areas with dramatic water feature was located at the bottom of the garden. Full planting scheme was designed to provide year round colour and interest!!!
FAMILY GARDEN WITH ENTERTAINING SPACE
One 2 Xperience Home&Gardens were asked by one of the leading landscape firms in Sheffield to design a front and back garden that was more inkeeping with the families lifestyle. In the back garden they wanted a more family friendly environment with a grass area for the kids. They also wanted an area for the adults where they could sit and relax in a sensory space. The use of this pergola created a sense of height that bridged the gap between the garden and the woodland behind. The planting is yet to appear but will be a riot of colour and smells through perennial planting. The Phormium in shot will grow and almost fill the planter in time.
CELEBRATING THE ENTRANCE
At the front garden the customer wanted a visually and functionally enhanced entrance to the property that would be more inviting to return to or for visitors to experience. We designed a double stepped entrance that mirrored the house in terms of materials and style. The two seperate steps were linked with planters filled with sensory planting. The steps provided access to both the house and the new artificial grass area.
APPRECIATING THE CONTEXT
Working for the same landscape contractor we designed a front garden to this large Victorian house located in the peak district. For this design it was important to the customer to respect the visual qualities of the area. We used natural local stone to create a front patio area and walk through. The planting was to compliment the colours of the hard materials.
INFORMAL RELAXATION GARDEN
For this design the lady client wanted an informal and plant orientated garden. After producing a mood board to give examples of how the garden could look the client asked for us to proceed with the final design. The design took advantage of the sloped garden and incorporated large natural boulders as a alternative retaining wall. Informal ,colourful and seasonal planting was carefully planned across the site and gave the customer a real sensory experience. A seating area with pergola was situated at the bottom of the garden looking back towards the impressive rocks. Shallow sleeper steps guided the visitor down through the planting. A grassed area was included for the children to have some play space
DNA HAS THE ANSWER FOR THIS NARROW PLOT
We developed this small narrow plot and maximised its potential by creating a sinuous path through it - a couple of strategic focal points led the customer and their eye around the garden. Sensory planting offered colour and interest all year round with the sound of running water brought a tranquil feel to the garden. Night time lighting extending the hours of enjoyment
Al FRESCO FAMILY AREA WITH FOCAL WATERFEATURE
This family wanted an area outside where they could socialise whether it al fresco dining for the family or a late night gathering with friends. We incorporated natural random sized stone with a tegula circle feature that was used to draw the eye towards a magnificent stone waterfeature. Planting of trees and mixed shrubs were used to soften the large conifer.
BLENDING MATERIALS CREATES INTEREST
This couple wanted to maximise their back garden and connect their house with garden. Double patio doors opened out onto a terrace area with bespoke paving with a detailed feature of setts. The terrace area then led down to a decked area for additional space for entertaining.
